ionie ~ A Body & Mind Retreat opened it’s grand red doors on the first business day of (January 3rd) 2000.

Since then it has been our greatest pleasure to do all that we can to help our clients care for their body, mind and spirit and live seriously well. 

We are a proud member of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, The American Massage Therapy Association and the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.

The Ionie Enchantment

When Ionie’s mother named her, could it have been divine inspiration? It’s unlikely that she could have known that Ionie would live so closely to the ancient philosophy of The Ionian Enchantment, whose roots go back to sixth century B.C. Believed to be one of the first documented holistic philosophies, it is a conviction that the world is orderly, interconnected, and can be explained by a small number of natural laws. Followers included many greats, among them Einstein, who was Ionian to the core.

What does all this have to do with Ionie, the certified advanced rolfer therapist? Plenty! To Ionie every body is beautiful and is a holistic system.

Jamaican born, English-raised and educated, Ionie has integrated this philosophy through her 12 years of experience to create the “ionie” Enchantment.

Ionie was nominated  for the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, and has previously been nominated for The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year and Minority Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, and the Young Business of the Year Award by both the Greater Sarasota and Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce.
